Alastair has been at the forefront of the UK’s Financial Technology industry, working with financial institutions, investors and regulators to promote collaboration and mutual benefit across the ecosystem. In 2014, Alastair was appointed by the UK Government as a Business Ambassador to the Prime Minister for the Financial Services industry, and today acts as the sole Business Ambassador for FinTech. He was Non-Executive Chairman of FinTech industry body, Innovate Finance, from the launch in 2014 until 2017. Alastair’s entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking has produced other inspirational ventures, and notably, as a fore runner to Monitise, he was a co-founder of epolitix.com, the portal for Westminster, Whitehall and the devolved institutions.
