Captain of England Women's Football Team
Leah Williamson OBE is the Captain of England’s women’s football team. She has quickly become a national treasure and cultural icon for female empowerment and women’s sport solidifying this at Wembley when she captained the Lionesses to a historic win in the European finals.

Leah joined Arsenal’s Centre of Excellence at the age of nine and made her senior debut in a Champions League quarter final. She has starred for England in every age group from the U15s right up to the senior side. She was called up to the Lionesses Senior squad in 2017. Leah was named the FA WSL Cup Player of the Year and won England Women’s Youth Player of the Year award and was then named the 2014-15 PFA Young Women’s Player of the Year. She has represented England since 2010 and captained the U17 side in the 2014 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship. In 2017, she was called up to the Lionesses Senior squad and made her debut against Russia in the 2019 FIFA World Cup qualifier. At the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers Leah captained England twice. England won both games, and she was rewarded Player of the Match.
