In Detail

Born in Austria in 1960, Christian studied piano and violin at the academy in Vienna. His conducting career began in 1985 when he was asked to rehearse Stravinsky for the German opera in Berlin, which led directly to conduct for a series of concerts at the Berlin Philharmonie. Since 1998 Christian Gansch has been a regular guest conductor of the Russian National Orchestra and was appointed a member of the orchestra’s ‘Conductors’. In addition to many international awards he has won four Grammy Awards.
